Inlet Trainee & Apprentice Program (ITAP)

The Inlet Dance Theatre Trainee & Apprentice Program is a progressive training program for serious dancers who wish to enhance their development and discover opportunities within the performing arts. This fee-based program is designed for individuals who are serious about dancing professionally or for preparing to obtain an undergraduate degree in dance.

Program includes:

o   Instruction in Erick Hawkins-based Modern, Performance Improvisation, Pilobolus-based Nontraditional Partnering, and other movement styles

o   Opportunity to be a part of Inlet’s signature collaborative creation process

o   Company class and Rehearsals 3 days/week with Inlet company members and Executive/Artistic Director

o   2 days/week of technique classes and rehearsals specifically for Trainee & Apprentice Program

o   Performance opportunities - concert and event services

o   Education outreach training

o   Focused mentoring relationships

o   Personal mission statement development, business administration and other related skill development

o   Winter and Summer breaks
